Christmas in Lapland Lasts Entire Year

It seems that we already forgot winter and Christmas, but it couldn’t be so in Lapland. Here it is so easy to feel the spirit of Christmas, because the village of Joulumaa where the Santa Claus or Joulupukki lives is welcoming guests the entire year. Here thousands of lights gloss each day, Christmas trees glitter and festal songs don’t calm at all.

Sitting cozily by the fire you can write a few words on a postcard to your friends and send it via Santa’s mail. Or order a special greeting, which will be sent to reach your relatives just on Christmas. Such greetings lie safely in their shelves according to the countries they will head to and wait their time…

The village also has many beautiful souvenir shops, cafes in the yurts of the real Sami’s, a cup of hot tea, boiled on the real fire and breathtaking traverse of polar axis. Still it is a small piece of what this festival smelling village has to offer.

Those who want to see the genuine Santa Claus with their own eyes must visit his office. The place from where he sends greetings to all of us and promises to come this December.
